Location: We are offering a hybrid working pattern to combine home and studio, your studio days will be in either Leeds or Manchester, depending which location is closest to home

Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, Permanent Contract

Role purpose

At Aire, our Production Junior is responsible for a variety of tasks which help and support the Production Team in day to day delivery, whilst learning key industry skills and growing knowledge across multiple areas. Our Production Junior is eager to learn, proactive and keen to grow. This role is vital in supporting the team as we work together to make the future of Aire a success!

1. Production Tasks

  • Successfully preflight incoming files, checking fonts, images, cutters, file structure and other key elements to ensure they are ‘fit for use’ in the next stage of the artwork process
  • Successfully preflight outgoing files to check fonts, images, cutters, file structure and other key elements to ensure they are ‘fit for use’ in the next stage of the artwork process
  • Oversee the dispatch of digital and physical files from the studio to the client and printer, using our internal systems, external client systems, email, telephone and face to face communication with our courier partners
  • Maintain the organisation and agreed folder structure within our MSH (Make Stuff Happen) system, ensuring files and documentation are handled, named and stored appropriately in their correct locations
  • Working within the Adobe Suite, successfully execute artwork amendments to client requirements on a variety of pack formats and brands
  • Support our automation team with data entry for artwork assembly, which will build knowledge of active brand guidelines and the future of packaging creation

2. Team Engagement
Play a part in our Production Team by:

  • Liaising with Artwork Specialists, Quality Specialists and Visualisation Specialists as well as the Management, Leadership and board of Directors, to support the various tasks required on a day to day basis
  • Working with and learning from key individuals who will mentor and train you to develop to the next level, which will build your confidence and work towards providing you with opportunities for the future
  • Helping with holiday cover, absences and peaks of volume by offering support wherever you feel it’s possible and appropriate

3. Quality Control

  • Ensure that all aspects of work produced meets the required quality standards

4. External Liaison

  • Collaborate with various design teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure all work executed is accurate and fit for purpose

5. Development Management

  • Take part in a shared responsibility towards your learning and development, tracking areas of success and areas of potential further growth

6. Technology & Equipment

  • Remain up to date with the latest practices across the business and help to document accordingly
  • Work with the technology team and identify any system or workflow issues which may be affecting yours and Aire’s performance

7. Reporting

  • Provide regular updates to your line manager
  • Help with the running and distributing of appropriate reports to the relevant parties

Qualifications
Good GCSE grades
Strong A-Level grades or equivalent qualification in courses relevant to design and artwork
